Middlesex University’s School of Law has announced that Stowe Family Law will sponsor a prize recognising outstanding student achievement
A Middlesex University student will get the chance to work at a leading family law specialist as part of an exciting new partnership.
MDX’s School of Law has announced it will be working with Stowe Family Law to offer an exceptional student valuable work experience in the industry.
Stowe Family Law will sponsor a prize recognising outstanding academic achievement.
This prize will be awarded to the undergraduate law student who demonstrates exceptional performance in the Child and Family Law module, specifically in the component of the final assessment that requires the application of legal principles to complex, simulated case scenarios. This reflects the School of Law’s strong emphasis on practice-based learning.
The award recognises not only academic excellence but also the winning student’s readiness for legal practice.
The winning student will undertake a two-day work experience placement at Stowe Family Law’s Camden office.
“This award offers valuable exposure to the day-to-day work of a specialist family law firm, and represents a unique opportunity to the winning student to enhance their understanding of the profession and gain practical experience in a real-world legal environment. We are extremely grateful to Stowe Family Law for their generous support and for sharing our commitment to nurturing the next generation of family law professionals."
Alex Patrick, a Lecturer in Law and LLB Programme Leader
A spokesperson for Stowe Family Law said: "We're thrilled to be able to provide the Stowe prize for another year and inspiring the next generation of law professionals means a lot to us. The Stowe prize gives the winning student the recognition they deserve for achieving legal excellence within their studies. This gives students the opportunity of a cash prize, or to work in the Stowe Family Law office to gain real world experience working in a law firm."
