My interests are in Social Work Education with an emphasis on promoting the Social Work profession and giving a voice to mental health service users.

Biography

I am a Senior Lecturer (Practice) in SocialWork and the Programme Lead for the Step Up to Social Work program at MiddlesexUniversity. I am currently in the analysis and writing stage of my PhD research which focuses on Social Work Education transforming students into professionalgraduates prepared for practice and employment .

 Professionally, I am a dualqualified Health and Social Care professional as a qualified mental nurse and aRegistered Social Worker. I currently hold a PG Cert HE (FHEA), an MSc (MentalHealth Studies), and a BA (Hons) in Social Work. In addition, I am a PracticeEducator (Stage 1 & 2); an Approved Mental Health Professional (AMHP), and aBest Interest Assessor (BIA). 

I teach across our undergraduate and postgraduate Social Work Programmes including CPD courses.
