Biography

Lucille Allain is Professor in Social Work and Head of School/Department of Mental Health and Social Work at Middlesex University. She was previously Associate Dean, Social Work at the University of East London and Director of Social Work Programmes at Middlesex.  Lucille is a registered social worker and Co-Chair of the Association of Professors of Social Work. She has extensive experience in child and family social work in local authorities and maintains strong links with practice as an independent member of a local authority fostering panel.  Lucille's research focuses on child and family social work practice and she also has extensive experience developing innovative teaching models in mental health and social work.
